// "WHY WOULD I HIRE A COACH?"
My whole life has been about the church. My father is a church planter and I have worked vocationally in ministry since 2005. Serving the church in vocational ministry requires every part of an individual: Spiritual, emotional, physical. A healthy, Christ-centered outside perspective can be very helpful in assessing the church’s needs, navigating difficult conversations, and setting goals with action plans to achieve them. Additionally, a coach can bring expertise and ministry experience to avoid having to learn everything through trial and error.
My favorite part of coaching is encouraging and equipping young leaders and teams. I firmly believe that if you want to prevent someone’s heart from hardening you must encourage them more. Hebrews 3:13 states: “You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.”
// "HOW DOES COACHING WORK?"
My Assessment of the leader, team, processes and technology. This can include (but not limited to): philosophy of worship, personal musical skills, band leading skills and strategies, leadership of the teams, leadership of the congregation, technology approach and execution. An example of areas of assessment can be found HERE.
After the Assessment, action plans for each area of assessment are suggested. With discussion and buy-in from the leader(s) specific, measurable, time-based action plans are written. The action plans can include all areas of needed growth, or just one or two areas of growth.
Level of involvement, accountability and continued support can be negotiated based on the needs and desires of the organization.

I believe in the authority of the Bible and that it is the inspired word of God. My beliefs and convictions are aligned with the Apostles Creed:

was crucified, died and was buried;

from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
